Hi,

Currently the band is recording their third album which will be a concept album - working title "Vertigo". Most of the recordings are done in Würzburg and we also try to get the story get presented in totally different way as you expect. If everything works out as planned this record will become something really special. Perhaps we can give you some previews on this work soon.

At the forthcoming shows Vinder will also play some material from the Visions of Time album originally performed by Nick Winkler. But as Dirk is such a great talent and his interpretation of the songs is so breathtaking the band decided to play some songs of this album with Dirk Schäffner. So check out the next shows.

The band will also cover "Balls To The Wall" from Accept in their shows and  this song performed by Vinder is something you'll never forget and this song is performed absolutely in the vein of Accept and U.D.O.,

Still waiting for a release date confirmation of the forthcoming 'Vitruvian Man' album from our record company we are proud playing the second time at the Rock For One World Festival.

As a special bonus Vinder will cover the great Accept song 'Balls to the Wall' emphasizing the new musical direction Vinder is emabarking with the forthcoming album.

It seems that we are about to finish the work for the new album 'Vitruvian Man'...
...and believe us, it was a hard road this time.

Oli finished the master with the new vocals this week, the artwork for the CD has been changed a bit due to the new line-up, we decided to include all lyrics of the album in the booklet. Ralf did a great job writing most of the lyrics.
On sunday we'll have a photo session with all the guys - hope the weather is not to bad, so that we can take some outdoor pics.
The results of this session will be used to finalize the booklet. After that - planned to be finished on monday - we'll ship all that stuff to Sleaszy-Rider Records.
If nothing strange happens the album will be released in december and then...
...all this will be yours.
Try to have a nice weekend - all you dirty web rockers - in Germany the sun is hidden behind clouds and it's raining, raining, raining,...

The first appearance of Dirk together with Vinder will take place in Steinenbronn 18-Oct 2008 (see concerts for details).

Finally - after deciding which songs will be released on the CD - we also finished the artwork for the Vitruvian Man (VM) CD.

Conceptually we wanted to visualize VM in a way that shows the link between antiquity and presence. And we strongly believe that there is a lot to learn not only from ancient times but the past in general. In this manner da Vinci learned a lot from the foundation the Roman Vitruvius laid down with his books about architecture. And still we can learn from both regarding the way to live or regarding a lot of technical aspects. So we took the Vtruvian Man where da Vinci visualized the ideas of Vitruvius and modified this synergy with elements of our more or less computerized era (still just for parts of our world).

Vinder itself benfits from both modern influences and the knowledge of more than 25 years in making music. Vitruvian Man is in some aspects a step back in time to the roots -when all started - back  to the 80s. Listening to Vitruvian Man you will be reminded of various things you all will love. Reminiscences of Judas Priest, Accept, Tyran Pace, Thin Lizzy and even Iron Maiden and some Black Sabbath stuff. Have fun with this essence of 25 years in the music business.

VM will be released somewhen in MMVIII through SleaszyRider records. Btw. Talking about ancient times, we got da Vinci, the Romans - is there any other place on the world this CD can be released than the missing link:

Vinder spielt am Samstag, den 7.7.07 auf dem White Raven Open Air Festival der Brotherhood Germany unter dem Motto "Rock and Metal against Racism".
Auf dem Festival bei Tuebingen werden am 6.7. und 7.7. zehn Bands spielen und es ist auch sonst noch einiges geboten. Bis dahin muesste auch die Vitruvian Man CD eingespielt  und wahrscheinlich beim Mastern sein. So dass sicherlich wieder eige neue Sachen im Programm dabei sind.

Ralf Schulz, seines Zeichens Schlagzeuger bei Vinder, hat seine Erlebnisse als Augenzeuge waehrend des Tsunamis in Asien niedergeschrieben. Das Buch mit dem schlichten Namen 'Tsunami' ist im Noel Verlag erschienen und kann auch ueber Amazon zum Preis von 12.90 EUR bezogen werden. Also falls die naechste CD mal wieder unter 20.- EUR kostet - mitbestellen :-))

Die Veranstaltung wird in Zusammenarbeit mit der Terre des Hommes Arbeitsgruppe Esslingen und dem Komma Esslingen durchgefuehrt. Wie im Jahr 2005 werden wir wieder anstreben saemtliche Eintrittsgelder komplett zu spenden und anfallende Kosten uber Sponsoren abzudecken.

Das Organisations Core-Team besteht aus Ralf Schulz, Klaus Sperling und Stani Szczepaniak.
